Ingredients
- 4 oz butter (1/2 cup)
- 4 oz lard (1/2 cup)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 Free Range Eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 ½ cups all purpose flour (we use gluten free)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Cream together the butter, lard & sugars then add eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy then add vanilla.
- Add flour, salt, baking powder and soda and cinnamon and mix until incorporated, then add oats and chocolate chips.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and form dough into balls on the sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Dough balls can also be frozen for future baking and then baked, from frozen, for 12 to 14 minutes
