Mossycup Farms is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and adaptable individual to join our diverse farming operation on a part-time basis. A strong ability to work independently is crucial for success in this position.

About the Role:

As a member of our farm team, you’ll take on a wide range of responsibilities that change with the seasons and week to week. Adaptability, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently are essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather and performing physical tasks on a regular basis. 

Compensation will be based on experience. Hours are flexible, averaging 5 to 10 hours per week, with scheduling varying based on seasonal needs and availability.  Additional hours may be available for a candidate who is interested and demonstrates the appropriate skills and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily livestock care, including feeding, watering, and monitoring animal health and well-being.
• Packaging products, organizing product inventory, preparing customer orders and restocking the farm store.
• Represent Mossycup Farms at local farmers markets and community events—this includes setting up displays, engaging with customers, and handling transactions.
• Make scheduled pickups and deliveries of farm goods using a personal or farm-provided vehicle.
• Perform general farm maintenance tasks, such as cleaning animal barns, organizing equipment, and keeping things organized.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical labor for extended periods.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to follow instructions without constant supervision.
• Previous farm or animal care experience is a plus, but not required—willingness to learn is more important.
